About me

My name is Elke Fürwitt. I have been working with fashion for over 30 years – as a seamstress, designer, lecturer and again and again as a seeker. Because what really moves me is not the craft alone - but the expression.
I believe that fashion is more than protection or decoration. It is a decision. For impact. For attitude. For you.
In my work, I have seen how much skill often remains invisible because there is a lack of an eye for the whole: for form, color, line, tension. And I have experienced how "quite well sewn" suddenly became a statement – only through the right idea, the right look, the right decision.
That's exactly what I'm teaching today in my masterclass: How to develop your own style – not theoretically, but concretely. How you not only sew, but Design . With clarity. With presence. It's not about perfection. It's about making your style visible.
